    1881: Printed Circular from Alexandria to Magadino, Switzerland franked by Egypt 1879 reddish lilac and Italy 'Estero' 2 c. brown, both tied by circular '234' numeral obliterator with ALESSANDRIA D'EGITTO / (POSTE ITALIANE) datestamp at right (June 18). The Egypt adhesive was unnecessary and presumably the sender chose the Italian P.O. for convenience and re-franked the letter there as either stamp was enough postage for the letter. Reverse with Naples transit and Magadino arrival cds (June 25). Attractive and unusual entire.
