    1865: Entire letter from Cairo used during the Government Post period, struck with POSTE VICE-REALI EGIZIANE / CAIRO datestamp in black (Oct 17), transferred to the Italian P.O. and franked by 1863 60 c. violet tied by small cartridge PIROSCAFI / POSTALI / ITALIANI handstamp in black. 'Alessandria D'Egitto / Poste Italiane' cds below (Oct 18) and reverse with arrival cds. A few minor scuffs but a scarce combination usage, possible for just 8 months.
