    1900/20: Lot 12 picture postcards related to various expeditions heading for the Arctic or the Antarctic, including Balloon expedition Andrées (1897) to the North Pole unused (5), two cards from the Belgium expedition in the Antarctic used (2), card depicting the return of Charcots expedition to the South, as well as two cards of Shackletons expedition with the Discovery, of which one franked with New Zealand unoverprinted 1c. carmine from "Littleton 24 DE 01" showing special cachet "Antarctic Exp.on 1901 S.S. Discovery" on front. A rare offer.
