    1838/48: Collection of Covers/Entire letters (36), with variety of markings including 1838 cover from Corfu with Coat of Arms cachet in black and disinfected, 1839 entire from Rome with dated '3 d.' due marking, disinfected covers from Egypt with '1 d.' and '2 d.' dated due markings in black and an undated cover with 'Nov 21. 8 d.' due marking, 1842 entire from Athens to 'H.M.S. Rodney' at Malta with '6. Apr. 1 d.' handstamp in black, 1845 entire with framed 'Purifié / Frioul' in black, 1851 cover with MALTA / SHIP LETTER in black to England, 1852 entire from Burgas, 1857/58 entires from Messina rated at '1 d.' (contrary to regulations) etc. A generally fine and most interesting collection.
