    Registration Type 3. 1896: Registered cover from Obock to Bombay, franked by Obock 5 c. green (2) and 1893 imperforate 5 c., 15 c. and 20 c. all tied by 'Obock' datestamps (Jan 19). Bombay-Aden registration oval marking applied in error and not filled in, struck with Aden oval with crayon 584 in blue. Reverse with Djibouti datestamp in blue (Jan 21), 'Aden / Reg' datestamp (Jan 22) and Ahmednagar arrival cds (Jan 31). Flap and cover tears and file folds away from adhesives but an unusual and attractive usage. Illustrated on back cover of the handbook.
