    Type 2. 1873: Cover from Calcutta to Venice endorsed 'via Alexandria & Brindisi' franked by 1865 8 p. mauve and 2 a. orange with 1866 4 a. green, all tied 'B/1' in black. Reverse with Calcutta cds in red (June 3), fine oval SEA POST OFFICE / E datestamp (June 6) struck in black in Bombay. Carried on the 'Tanjore' with transits of Brindisi (June 26) and Venice arrival cds. A fine cover, illustrated in the handbook on page 32.
