    Type 2. 1872: Cover to Madras at 1 s. rate via Brindisi franked by 1867 1s. green pl. 6 tied by 'Farnboro Station / 023' duplex (Dec 14). Reverse with Aldershot cds of despatch (Dec 14) and fair oval SEA POST OFFICE / C datestamp (Dec 27) applied in blue at Suez. Carried on the 'China' arriving Bombay Jan 10, 1873 with Madras datestamp (Jan 13) and Fort St. George datestamp in red. Re-addressed to Pallaveram with India 1 a. brown. Cover opening tears but scarce.
