    Type 1B. 1869: Entire letter to Karachi via Marseilles and Bombay at 1 s. 1 d. rate, franked by 1 d. red and 1867 1 s. green pl. 4 tied by London duplexes. Reverse with fine oval SEA POST OFFICE / F datestamp (Sept 21) in bright blue applied at Suez. Carried on the 'Sumatra' arriving Bombay on October 1, with red 'Kurrachee' backstamp (Oct 7). Usual minor imperfections but an attractive usage, illustrated in the handbook on page 23.
