    Type 1B. 1868: Cover to Bellary via Southampton, franked at 9 d. rate with 1867 3 d. deep rose pl. 5 and 6 d. lilac tied by 'Charing Cross / WC 28' duplexes. Reverse with fine oval SEA POST OFFICE / E datestamp (Oct 12) struck in blue at Suez. Carried on the first voyage of the 'Madras' arriving Bombay October 24. Bellary cds in red on front. Imperfections, the 6 d. with unobtrusive rounded corner but scarce, the earliest usage of Set Letter E, illustrated in the handbook on page 22.
