    1864: 3 so. green precursor stamp perf. 9½ in mixed franking with 1867 Franz Joseph 25 so. violet, fresh colours and good perfs., tied by clean "SMIRNE 1 / 2" cds (Tranmer fig. 4) to entire letter, endorsed "Via Brindisi" and sent to Genova with Brindisi transit and Genova arrival (7 FEB 68) cds's on reverse. Nice mixed franking to pay the 1866 Lloyd rate with 20 so. for the Lloyd, no charge for Austria, and 8 so. for Italy. Signed Bolaffi, cert. Ferchenbauer (2015) Ferchenbauer = EUR 1'000.
