    Confederate Postmasters' Provisionals New Orleans 1861: Provisional 5 c. brown on white paper, short Transfer plate flaw at top, a large margined example slightly stained through applied gum, used on 1861 cover to Russellville, Alabama cancelled by NEW ORLEANS / LA datestamp in black. Docketing of sender at left (July 1) and of receipt in manuscript above (July 15). File fold away from adhesive but a scarce stamp on letter. Cert. Philatelic Foundation (2007) Scott = $ 450.
