    1860/61: 19 cs. brown on pale brown and 12 cs. red on pale buff paper, used on registered 1862 cover to Lyon, France tied by LAS PALMAS / CANARIAS datestamps in black (Feb 26). Repeated strike at right along with CERTIFICADO in blue, the corners of the cover marked in manuscript to denote the registration. Two strikes of French CHARGÉ in red and St. Jean De Luz entry marking (March 10) alongside. Reverse with French rate box in red and Irun, Paris and Lyon datestamps. Seals removed from reverse, and a most unusual over-payment of the rate by 7 cuartos. A rare and absolutely beautiful cover. Cert. Comex (2014) Mi = EUR 10'000/Edifil 54+53 = EUR 9'200+.
