    50 bani indigo & red, a fine appearing four margined example used on 1872 envelope to Ismailia, Suez Canal, Egypt horizontally creased as originally folded over top of envelope, tied by T. MAGURELE datestamp (May 17) struck in blue (Kiriac fig. 508). Corresponding 'PD' in blue at right and reverse with part flap missing but showing intact datestamps of Giurgiu (9/5), Austrian Post Office in Constantinople (13/5), Austrian Post Office in Alexandria (27/5), Egyptian P.O. at Alexandria (28/5) and Ismailia arrival cds (28/5). Front also bears italic 'Franca' applied in Alexandria to denote that no further charges be made. A few edge faults to the envelope but extremely rare, one of only two Classic period covers recorded to Egypt. Cert. Heimbüchler (2014).
