    San Luis Potosi 8 r. green on red-brown, large District name overprint, a huge margined single example, slight contemporary crease on application used on August 11, 1863 cover front to Guanajuato tied by wreathed oval SLP handstamp (Schatzkes fig. 1454) with FRANCO / SAN LUIS POTOSI datestamp (Schatzkes fig. 1443) alongside, both in black. Cover fully docketed on flap. An outstanding example of this extremely rare stamp used as a single franking on letter. Cert. Jaretzky (1987).
