    Saltillo 8 r. black on red-brown, a magnificent horizontal pair with horizontal guideline at top, 2 r. black on rose with sheet margin and vertical guideline at left together with fine 1 r. black on green used on 1861 registered front of cover to Monterrey, cancelled by oval framed ADMON. PRAL DE CORREOS / SALTILLO handstamp (Schatzkes fig. 1355) struck in black. The front surrounded by four strikes of the oval CERTIFI / CADO registered handstamp (Schatzkes fig. 1360, unrecorded on this issue) and fine framed CERTIFICACION AL SALTILLO / SALIO EN 11 de Mayo de 1861 handstamp (Schatzkes fig. 1352) with manuscript date, well struck in black. Eagle cachet at left in black and reverse with further Eagle cachet and manuscript notation of receipt (May 12). The adhesives all from the first shipment: with just 280 of the 1 real, 510 of the 2 reales and 280 of the 8 reales having been received by this date. A splendid and famous 19 reales three colour franking. Cert. Jaretzky (1987).
