    San Luis Potosi 4 r. black on yellow, diagonally bisected example used as a 2 reales on December 5, 1861 cover written from Zacatecas to Monterey, the stamp applied by Forwarding Agent 'Chabot Hermanos & Co / San Luis Potosi' with oval cachet at left and tied by framed fancy FRANCO handstamp (Schatzkes fig. 1446A) in black. Somewhat grubby and addressee's name erased but scarce. Cert Peritajes/Bash (1959).
