    Durango 4 r. carmine, a fine vertically bisected example used on April 17, 1858 cover from Tavoltita to Puerto de Mazatlan tied by bold strike of framed R D S DIMAS (Real de San Dimas) handstamp (Schatzkes fig. 251) well struck in red. Some acid ink in address otherwise a fine and very scarce usage.
