    Zacatecas Provisional 2 r. emerald, a fine example with good to large margins all round, used on March 14, 1864 entire letter to Hacienda de Espiritu Santo, cancelled by mute '0' handstamps (Schatzkes fig. 1849B) typically found used from 1864. Apparently this 2 r. emerald was left in stock and used provisionally during the last days of the 1861 issue and before the new Eagle issue. A couple of file folds well away from the adhesive, however this cover demonstrates the latest recorded usage of an 'emerald' on letter. Signed J. K. Bash. Cert. Mepsi (1986), Jaretzky (1988).
