    Jalapa 2 r. emerald, an enormous margined example of this scarce shade used on May 20, 1857 cover from Tlatlauquitepec to Vera Cruz tied by one of the rarest of the first issue cancellations: FRANCO EN and TATLAUQUI (the latter inverted) struck well in red (Schatzkes figs. 645AB (unrecorded in red) and fig. 645AA). Minor aging but an exceptional cover of great rarity for the connoisseur. Cert. Jaretzky (1986).
