    1 d. green, a somewhat creased example used on 1869 entire letter from Lima to Le Havre, France tied by Lima datestamp (Aug 21), via British P.O. in Callao with cds on front (Aug 22) and thence to British P.O. in Panama with three line PANAMA / TRANSIT (Aug 29). Transferred to French Ship with superb octagonal PANAMA / PAQ. FR. A No. 2 (Salles fig. 1413) struck in black (Sept 1). Arrival on reverse (Sept 23) and charged 12 décimes handstruck in black. A few faults but a rare usage.
