    1 d. vermilion, uncancelled on 1865 entire letter from Lima to New York, with faint PAID AT CALLAO British P.O. handstamp in red and corresponding datestamp on reverse (Dec 21), front with manuscript '6' (pence) in red crayon and PANAMA datestamp (Dec 29) of British P.O. Circular '10' charge marking applied on arrival for Steamship rate. Creased and small faults but nevertheless a rare usage.
