    1867 (Aug 14): Entire letter franked by 1863/70 laureated 20 c. blue and 80 c. carmine tied by Paris Star '4' in black and in transit by London cds in red. Thence via Southampton and struck with British P.O. PANAMA single ring datestamp in black (Sept 6). Red Chilean '25' (centavos) due mark in red alongside. The 20 c. with contemporary perf. fault but of fine appearance and scarce.
