    1 peseta orange-yellow used on small piece and tied by 'Lima' cds (Sept 1873), Great Britain 1872/73 6 d. chesnut pl. 11 in a horizontal pair cancelled by 'Callao' British P.O. "C38" obliterators in black also tying the 1870/71 USA Banknote issue 10 c. brown pair as is the sender's cachet struck twice in blue. Ageing and other imperfections but a delightful double rate triple franking piece.

    Note: Rate is double, 1 peseta double rate Lima to Callao, 1 s. double rate from British P.O. to Panama, US 20 c. for double Ship rate.
