    1 d. green used on 1871 cover endorsed 'p. S. S. Cordillera' to Liverpool, in combination with Great Britain 1870 6 d. mauve pl. 9 each tied by "C36" obliterators with corresponding British P.O. ARICA cds at base (Sept 21). Reverse with 'Liverpool / British Packet' cds (Nov 11) and manuscript charge '6 d.' (pence) to pay as the single 6 d. franking only paid the rate as far as Panama. File fold at left away from the adhesives, a fine and rare usage.
