    1 peseta rose red, the famous vertical format block of ten used, types 10-1/5-2/10-1/5-2/10-1, with large margins all round and of excellent colour and preservation for a multiple this size, minor scissor nick at upper left and negligible tear at base not detracting from the appearance and rarity of this splendid block, cancelled by five complete strikes of the PIURA straight line handstamp in black. Only four blocks of this stamp are recorded, this being the largest in vertical format. A rarity.
