    Santa Fé de Bogotá-La Plata-Popayan-Quito Route 1787 (Feb 9): Entire letter from Plata to Popayan, distance 20 leagaues / 110 kms., endorsed at lower left that the cover was carried with 25 mules and further freight, struck with the sole recorded example of the framed contracted PLATA handstamp in red (Tizon 1). Unlisted by Tizon in this colour and this strike two years earlier than he records. Carried without rate notation as accompaying freight. Rare.
