    1869 (Oct 16): Slightly worn envelope addressed from Smyrna to Constantinople in French and Armenian, franked by vertical pair of 1867 2 pi. blue tied by POSTE VICE REALI EGIZIANE / SMIRNE datestamp in black. Reverse with COSTANTINOPOLI arrival cds (Oct 19) in black. Some cover faults but a rare high franking of the issue.
