    1862 (Oct 6): Registered cover from Samanud to Alexandria, some ink incursions, struck with framed PER CONSEGNA in dull green (Smith fig. 5) and Type III oval POSTA EUROPEA / SAMANUD handstamp below. Manuscript registration 'No. 30' at top and manuscript rate '1.20' (1½ piastres) for the postage rate only. Despite faults an extremely rare cover. Smith states "All registered Posta Europea letters are rare". Signed Todd AIEP.
