    1855: Crimean War cover endorsed 'via Marseilles' from member of the 77th Regiment, Crimea to Dublin, Ireland; franked by 1854/57 strip of three 1 d. red-brown on blued paper, perf. 16, lettered ID-IF, tied in transit by London '42' numerals. London cds on reverse (March 22) and arrival. The adhesives just grazed on surface but a scarce usage.
