    1846: Entire letter from Constantinople to Chios, Mixany correspondence, struck with superb four line BELL'S / ASIA MINOR / STEAMSHIP Co. / SMYRNA AGENCY marking in blue-green. Bell's was formed in 1868 in Smyrna. Their Steamers, sailing under the British flag, plied their trade between Smyrna, Chios, Cesme, Samos, Calymnos, Cos and Rhodes. Exceptional and of great rarity.
