    1883: 5 c. ultramarine (2) used on cover from Santiago to Paris, some edge wear around roulettes but tied by neat Santiago cds with superb octagonal COLOMBIE / LIG. A. PAQ. FR. No. 1 French Paquebot (Feb 1) alongside (Salles fig. 1419) and carried on the 'Lafayette'. Unusual 'X' marking at base of envelope and reverse with Paris arrival (Feb 27). Scarce and unusual cover.
