    1917 (April 29): 10 pa. green postal stationery card used to Brunswick, Germany up-rated with 10 pa. green and 1917 10 pa. violet all tied by fine strike of AVIATION BRANCH No. 1 cancellations in black; with circular 'Feldwetterzentrale / Konstantinopel' cachet below. There was close co-operation between the Turks and German forces over meteorolgy-the Turks supplying a network of weather stations and the Germans the scientific knowledge. A rare and delightful card. Ex collection Bill Robertson.
