    1912 (Dec 16): Postcard from Darmstadt addressed to Adrianopel / Turkey sent registered with 20 pf. ultramarine and addressed to a Serbian Prisoner of War, carried as far as Istanbul and handstamped with framed bilingual RETOUR and straight line CAUSE DE GUERRE in black due to the continuing Balkan War. Returned to Leeheim (Feb 27). Fine and scarce.
