    40 pa. blue, a spectacular large margined example used on small 1859 entire letter cancelled by bold strike of framed FRANCO / GALATZ handstamp (Kiriac fig.308) with 'Galaty / Moldova' datestamp (23/1) alongside in black. A charming crossed to denote pre-payment in red manuscript which has caused a closed tear in the face panel; also a single example used on piece.
