15 c. bright rose, Handpaper, Type III, a magnificent used example with huge margins all round and showing complete Andrew's Cross / Croce di S. Andrea at base and small portion of adjoining cross at right, neatly cancelled by MILANO 13/9 datestamp in black. Imperceptible dent in the paper on reverse and barest trace of paper loss in margin mentioned for technical accuracy only and of no significance, this being a stamp of both great rarity and beauty. This describer has recorded just three examples of the 15 centesemi with Andrew's Cross used in Milan (two single examples and a vertical pair) of which this is undoubtedly the finest.
