300 r. bistre - eight examples used on the extraordinary 1886 Boris Frères cover to Paris, carried on French Paquebot 'Equateur' at 12 times rate with Fortaleza despatch cds at left (April 20) and the adhesives all cancelled again by 'Pernambuco' French type datestamps (April 24). Paquebot datestamp below PERNAMBOUC / PAQ. FR. J. No. 2 in black (Salles fig. 1085) below. Reverse with Paris arrival cds (May 9). A wonderful and extremely rare cover.
