    100 r. green single and pair used on 1878 cover to Vianna do Castello, Portugal all tied by barred segmented handstamps in black, carried on British Packet 'Elbe' with 'Rio De Janeiro' cds below (March 23) and oval framed 'Franca' adjacent. Reverse with 'P. Transtlantico' datestamp (April 10) in green and Vianna arrival cds. Slight central file fold but an attractive cover, over-paying the newly introduced 260 reis rate.
