200 r. black and 500 r. orange used on opened for display 1879 envelope to Southport, England endorsed 'per Minho', tied by segmented cork handstamps in black with 'Rio De Janeiro' despatch cds at left (Aug 23). Manuscript '2' denoting double rate per Royal Mail Steam Packet, with Southport arrival cds (Sept 15) on reverse. Some minor scuffing and wear but a scarce franking.
