    80 r. rose violet, horizontal pair used in combination with 100 r. green single and horizontal strip of three, on 1867 double rate cover from Bahia to Bordeaux, cancelled by dotted 'star' lozenges in black. 'Bahia / Brazil' despatch cds at left (Dec 28), framed 'PD' in red overstruck by 'Bresil / Bordeaux' entry marking (Jan 18, 1868) in black. Two of the 100 r. are affected by file folds and some usual ageing. Despite minor imperfecctions, a scarce and attractive franking.
