    50 reis deep blue, two examples, right hand stamp showing clear 'Cracked Plate' variety (position 87 on the sheet) used on 1866 cover to Rio de Janeiro cancelled by segmented cork handstamps and by manuscript pen cross, manuscript dated at right '7-11-66'. Reverse with Rio de Janeiro arrival datestamp (Nov 11) struck in blue. Ageing and file fold away from adhesives, a rare usage (believed to be five known) of the 'Cracked Plate' on letter.
