    1872 (July 7): Cover from Rio de Janeiro to Paris, France with mixed issue franking of 1850 300 r. black, margins on three sides but cut into at base, in combination with 1866 Dom Pedro 20 r. reddish lilac tied by segmented cork cancels. Rio despatch cds at right and framed 'P.D.' in black with Bordeaux entry marking (July 30) alongside in blue. A few minor imperfections with slight opening tear at top but a rare usage. Cert.     Note: The 320 reis single rate to France was introduced on January 1, 1871.
