    90 reis black, Early Impression in a deep shade, a superb appearing large margined horizontal pair used on reverse of December 1843 docketed cover from Maranhao to Olinda, cancelled by fine strike of CORREIO DO MARNAHÃO datestamp (Jan 13, 1844) struck in red (Ayres fig. 1615). Slight repair at base of the adhesives and a small natural stain from the original red wax seal below the stamps but of great scarcity and most attractive. Cert. BPA (1978) and Moorhouse (2013).
