    Incoming Mail from Spain 1809 (Jan 17): Entire letter from Isla de Leon near Cadiz to Popayan, endorsed "Por Cartagena La Indias 1a. via" at lower left and struck witht F / CADIZ despatch in red. Fascinating letter with mentions of Havana and also mentions of the French Napoleonic invaders being in Madrid. Fine condition and rare.
