    1868: 2 bani orange-yellow in a fine horizontal pair with close to large margins all round (type 5-6), used in combination with 1870 3 bani bright violet, also in a horizontal pair with large margins all round (type 2-3), on 1872 cover to Giurgiu; tied by bold strikes of GALATI datestamps (Aug 24) in black (Kiriac fig. 500). Black framed 'PD' at upper left and reverse with Bucharest transit cds (Aug 25) and Giurgiu arrival (Aug 26). A charming 'new find' and both a rare combination and a most attractive cover. Cert.
