    1855 (Aug 9): Entire letter dated at Bucharest on Aug 6, mailed from Ploesti to Arzignano, Venetia; sent as Official Military mail and struck with K.K. ÖST. F.P. PLOESCHTI datestamp (Tchilinghirian 767) in red-brown. Reverse with Hermannstadt transit (Aug 12), with contents concerning the death of a soldier. Scarce cover. Signed Herbert Bloch.
