(Dec 25): Entire letter from Serres to Vienna franked by 1864 15 s. brown, perf. 9½, tied by bold strike of SERRES datestamp in green (Tchilinghirian fig. 617); the postage recently reduced under 1866 tariff. Vienna arrival cds (Jan 4) on reverse; also a matching 1873 stampless entire with same SERRES datestamp sent unpaid and charged 20 kr. due. A scarce and attractive pair.
