1897 (Jan 24): Registered cover from Salonica to Constantinople, mailed from the Frankish Quarter Sub-Office with 1 pi. on 10 kr. ultramarine (2) tied by superb strike of SALONICH II / ÖESTERREICHISCHE POST datestamp (Tchilinghirian 612) in black. Yellow registered label at left and reverse with (Jan 28). This scarce cover appears to be the one Tchilinghirian took his illustration from.
