    1872 (Oct 31): Entire letter sent unpaid from Syra to Vienna struck on arrival in Trieste with oval datestamp (Nov 11) and both the italic "Let.a arr.ta per Mare' and three line LETTERE ARRIVATE / COL VAPORE / DAL LEVANTE (Tchilinghirian fig. 29 and 99) all in black. Rated '20' kreuzers due in crayon with Vienna (Nov 12) cds on reverse. A fine entire: the italic handstamp was meant to be used on Adriatic Mail, the three line on Levant Mail.
