1871 (Sept 23): Entire letter from Alexandria to Port Said endorsed 'Par Vapeur Austrichienne' in manuscript, rated '20' at upper left and struck on arrival with PORTO SAID / EGYPTEN thimble (Tchilinghirian fig. 1) datestamp (Sept 23) on front and on reverse, transferred to the Egyptian P.O. for local delivery with 'V.R.Poste Egiziane-Port Said' cds on reverse.
