    1879 (April 28): Entire letter from Port Louis to Bordeaux endorsed 'per Dupleix', franked by 1878 surcharged 4 c. on 1 d. bistre and very scarce 13 c. on 3 d. orange-red tied by 'B53' obliterators. Reverse with 'Mauritius' despatch cds displaying well in blue, obverse with octagonal POSS. AN / PAQ. FR. T No.1 in red (Salles fig. 2151) and the adhesives also tied by scarce INDO-CHINE / PAQ FR. MODANE datestamp (Salles fig. 1897) in red (May 23). Minor file fold at top but a fresh and fine entire.
